Two-piece Glass Front Stepback Cabinet

Antique 2-piece glass front maple step back cupboard. Excellent example of an original handmade cupboard that could be used in several settings from formal to informal. Upper has two doors with large panes of glass bordered by reeded trim and small corner blocks. Interior has three original adjustable shelves. Brass latch hardware is period but possibly added later. Lower case is fitted with four locking drawers with carved wood pulls. Ends are paneled. Back is tongue and groove vertical planked pine. Top has an unusual work surface that pulls forward for more space. This is an unusual stunner, from the ribbed exaggerated crown to the decorative bracketed skirt at the floor. It almost gives off a little art nouveau vibe. We believe this is a southern made piece, likely Kentucky. We also believe this would look stunning filled with your collection of rare Kentucky bourbons.

Condition notes: Good condition overall. Scratches, dings, scuffs, stains to the surface. Light green paint splatter on the crown on the left side. One glass door is the original wavy glass, the other is not original glass. Detailed condition video available upon request. In some photos there appear to be white specks on the cabinet - those are actually snow flakes.

• interior shelves on upper cabinet are 10" deep
