Leather Athletic Bench, c. 1960s

UPDATE SOLD. European athletic bench, circa 1960s. Most likely was used in a school. The industrial bent steel tube base was made to hold some heavy weightlifters, while the upholstered leather top provides cushion. Retains the original cobalt blue enamel paint. Leather top has a beautiful time-worn patina. Very solid. This industrial bench has a great look and would be an authentic vintage addition to either a commercial space, or at home. Perfect to stylishly hold a stack of blankets in the bedroom, as a coffee table piled with books, or an entry seat to hide your boots. 

Age: 1950/60s

Condition: Some repairs, as can be seen in pics. The top wood understructure has been repaired previously, but does not affect structural integrity. Two of the four corner seams have loose stitches. See pics. 

Dimensions: 15 inches tall x 27.5 inches wide x  19.5" deep / 26 lbs
