Classroom Display Cabinet, c. 1920s

(Update SOLD) Early 1920’s commercial/industrial step back cabinet. This piece is made by The Walrus Manufacturing Co. and has makers markings. Originally built for the science classroom at South High School, Columbus Ohio, which opened in 1924. In 2008 South High went through a 2yr renovation and what remained of the original furniture was either junked or stored by alumni. This piece along with a two others were saved by an active alumni member and friend of ours that recently passed.
The cabinet is very heavy and well built out of hardwood. The upper glass doors roll nicely with wheels on metal tracks. Adjustable height shelves and brackets are included. The entire cabinet retains it original wood finish, along with a few paint splatters from different classroom wall refreshes over the years. 

Condition notes: Paint splatters on one side only. Some chips to the wood.
