Bakelite Desk Lamp, German c.1940

German Bauhaus style bakelite table lamp with adjustable arm and articulating shade. Lamp is all bakelite plastic construction aside from the cast iron insert weighting the base. The base has some original Belgian decals from the school or institution where it once lived. Decals would be easily removable if desired. Original push button switch is in base. The lamp has been converted to a North American style plug with a 72” cloth cord.

Condition: Fully functional, Bakelite shows some wear/hairline cracks near the top that do not affect the structural integrity. Inside of shade shows some wear to the reflective silver paint.

Dimensions: 16.5"T  / base is 6.5"x8" / cord is 72"
